Alumni Update - Nick Sell (Seton Hill)

SellNicholasSeton Hill freshman standout Nick Sell added to his list of impressive achievements by being named a Daktronics Second Team Division II All American as a designated hitter in baseball.

Sell, a North Allegheny High School graduate, was the only freshman named to either of the first three teams.

Sell was a Daktronics All Atlantic Region First Team selection as well as being named to the ABCA All Atlantic Region First Team. Sell was a second team National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All Atlantic Region Selection and first team All West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection.

Sell joins former Seton Hill great Pat Trettel as the only Griffins to earn Daktronics All American honors.

Sell led the Griffins with a .380 batting average, 8th best in the WVIAC. He had a team leading 11 home runs (4th in WVIAC) and 55 RBI (3rd in WVIAC). Nick added 48 runs scored and 12 doubles.

Sell was also a semifinalist for Tino Martinez Award, presented to the top player in Division II.

Members of the NCAA Division II College Sports Information Directors of America selected the All-America teams. The All-America team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.

Daktronics has sponsored the baseball All-America program since 2007.
