Alumni Update - Dylan Songer (Indiana University of Pennsylvania)

SongerDylanIndiana University of Pennsylvania senior first baseman Dylan Songer, a North Allegheny High School graduate, was a first-team pick on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference baseball team.

Songer led IUP with a .351 batting average, 15 doubles and 52 RBI, blasting six home runs in 48 games played. He tallied 12 multi-hit and multi-RBI games during the year, including a 4-for-5, five RBI performance against Lenoir-Rhyne in which he had two doubles, a home run, and scored three runs.

Starting in 47 games, Songer had 53 hits and was third on the team with a .570 slugging percentage, striking out just 15 times in 151 at-bats. He was IUP's top batter against PSAC West competition, hitting .348 with a .530 slugging percentage, driving in 20 runs in 24 games.

The Crimson Hawks finished their season this past weekend with a 25-23-1 overall record, one-game behind Slippery Rock for the final spot in the PSAC tournament with an 11-13 division mark.
