North Allegheny's Isaacs entering varsity season on gold medal note
Just beginning her sophomore season on the North Allegheny girls
tennis team, sophomore Kylie Isaacs has some recent success to build
off of.
Isaacs won the girls 18 singles tournament title at the Fox Chapel
Junior Open earlier this month. Isaacs beat Caroline Nixon of Peters
Township, 6-1, 6-3, in the title match Aug. 11. The 14th Annual Fox
Chapel Junior Open is the largest junior tennis tournament in
Pennsylvania and one of the largest in the nation.
Isaacs teamed with then-junior Mikayla Becich to win the WPIAL Class
AAA doubles championship and come in second in the PIAA Class AAA
doubles tournament. Isaacs also was a WPIAL singles tournament
qualifier.
