Two Montour football players headed to Temple
Tyler Haddock and Matt Barone are good friends who have spent the past few seasons as teammates on the Montour football team.
It won’t be long before the duo gets together again, this time at Temple University.
Haddock and Barone, both seniors-to-be at Montour, recently made commitments to play at Temple. Haddock is a 5-foot-11, 275-pound defensive tackle. Barone is a 6-foot-3, 270-pound offensive lineman.
Temple became the second school each player committed to. Haddock had previously pledged to Kent State, but changed his mind and picked Temple last week. Barone originally committed to Connecticut, before reconsidering and choosing Temple on Monday.
Haddock and Barone were two of three WPIAL players who changed their commitments over the past week. The other was South Fayette wide receiver Zach Challingsworth, who switched from Toledo to Pitt.
