Defending champion Bethel Park hockey team on winning streak
Bethel Park started slow last season, winning just three of its first 11 games of the season before winning 15 straight on its way to a Class AAA Penguins Cup title.
The Black Hawks started this season out slow, too, losing their first two games. But they seemed to have found their winning touch again.
Bethel Park has won three straight games, allowing a total of just five goals.
Austin McGinty was in goal for the last two wins, both against Mt. Lebanon. He allowed two goals on 33 shots in a pair of 6-1 wins. McGinty is 2-2 with an .876 save percentage overall this season.
Zach Davis got the other win, stopping 26-of-29 shots against State College.
Bethel Park has also gotten a balanced scoring attack during the 3-game win streak. Christian Siak has four goals during the streak, while Derek Lesnak, Daniel Yost, Ryan Kusmira, Jacob Worcester and Kurt Schmidt all have two goals.
