Singley's big night helps Latrobe hockey team stay perfect

Latrobe improved to 3-0 on the season Monday night, as Josh Singley had five goals and three assists in the Wildcats’ 14-1 win over Franklin Regional Monday night.

All of Singley’s goals came in the first 21 minutes of the game. The senior forward scored two shorthanded goals, two even-strength goals and a power play goal.

The outburst gave Singley 13 points (seven goals, six assists) on the season, which put him a top the PIHL Class AA scoring list.

Singley’s teammate, Christopher Johnson, also recorded a hat trick in the victory.

In goal, Shane Brudnok stopped 14-of-15 shots for his third win of the season. Brudnok has given up just one goal in each of the Wildcats’ three games and has a .941 save percentage so far this season.
