Pitt wrestler Anthony Zanetta won his fourth open tournament title of the season at the Penn State Open on Sunday, Dec. 2. Zanetta, senior who is redshirting this season, posted a 5-0 record in the 125-pound weight class.
Zanetta, a graduate of Keystone Oaks High School, upset No. 2 ranked Nico Megaludis of Penn State, 3-2, in the championship match.
Zanetta opened the tournament with a 17-0 win over Clarion's Ronald Hicks in the first round, then recorded a 15-2 win against Lock Haven's Caleb Lemaire. In the quarterfinals, Zanetta posted an 8-1 win against Ohio State's Nick Roberts. He advanced to the title match with a pin of North Carolina's Brian Bokoski in the semifinals.
