"Tim Monske has a unique view of the athletic versatility of Shatori Walker-Kimbrough.

"I probably watch four or five of her volleyball matches and eight to 10 basketball games," said Monske, a track coach at Hopewell High School. "And then I have to switch over from being a fan to being a coach. It's really a nice feeling to see how good she is at all of these sports."

Her athleticism was always evident in basketball, a sport in which Walker-Kimbrough, a 5-foot-10 junior, has excelled since fourth grade. Opposing coaches in volleyball and track soon found out what basketball coaches had already known. Walker-Kimbrough has shone in every sport she's attempted.

Monske, now in his second stint as the Vikings track coach, believes her talent is limitless.

"I think she could be a Division I athlete in softball or tennis if she wanted to," he said."
