Alumni Update - Alex Haines (Seton Hill)

HainesAlexSeton Hill senior left-hander Alex Haines, a Hempfield High School graduate, was selected as the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Year.

Haines posted a 6-1 record during the regular season. He worked just 60.2 innings on the year and struck out 97 batters, 20 more than second most by a WVIAC hurler.

Haines tossed two complete games and also had a save. For the year, he appeared in 15 games, starting 11.

Haines registered an ERA of 4.60 and allowed just 31 earned runs on the year.

The Griffins won their third straight WVIAC Northern Division title. Seton Hill is currently sixth in the country and first in the Atlantic Region and owns a 42-8 overall record.
