Coach Jerry Way says: "The thing about Matt I like a lot is he works on his game all year long. He constantly tries to improve -- and he has improved. If we had a more experienced team, Matt as a sophomore would be perfect at the third singles spot. But he's running into guys that are at a different level of play, solid '1' players. That will just make Matt work on his game even more all year round. He constantly wants to get better. He gives 100 percent out there, no matter the score and no matter who he's playing. He keeps a real positive outlook."
