Alumni Update - Bill Luther (Pitt-Johnstown)
Pitt-Johnstown junior forward Bill Luther was named West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball
Co-Player of the Week.
Luther, a Hampton High School graduate, helped the Mountain Cats to a 1-0 week with a 106-94 win over Bowie State. He played 27 minutes and registered a career-high 34 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the floor.
Luther drained a school-record 10 three-point baskets in just 13 attempts (76.9 percent). He added a pair of free throws in addition to his two rebounds and one block.
The 10 three-point field goals are the most by a WVIAC player since West Liberty’s Barry Shetzer canned 12 on Feb. 15, 2010.
