Hampton hockey team scoring big early in season
After making the PIHL Class A semifinals last season, the Hampton hockey team moved up to Class AA this season.
So far, the Talbots haven’t any issues with the transition.
Hampton is 3-0 and has outscored its opponents 25-6.
Three Talbots are in the top 10 in scoring in Class AA. Zach Kosick entered Wednesday second in the class with 11 points (seven goals, four assists). Eric Leya has nine points (five goals, four assists), while Joe Vita has eight points (two goals, six assists).
Ethan Homitz and Andrew Coyle are just on the outside of the top 10 scorers with seven points.
Meanwhile, Cam Raidna has held down the opposing team’s scoring, allowing just six goals on 48 shots.
Hampton’s next game will be Tuesday against Franklin Regional.
