Franklin Regional football star Brown joins 4,000-yard club
Dane Brown added a huge milestone to what has already been a stellar career last week.
Brown, a senior running back, went over 4,000 yards rushing for his career in Franklin Regional’s 44-7 win against visiting Elizabeth Forward in a WPIAL Class AAA first-round game last Friday.
Brown rushed for 140 yards and scored four touchdowns for the Panthers (8-2), who face No. 1 Thomas Jefferson (10-0) in a quarterfinal Friday at Elizabeth Forward.
It was quite possibly Brown’s best game of the season. He has battled injuries throughout the fall. He has rushed for 784 yards and 12 touchdowns, this after running for 1,960 yards and 34 touchdowns as a junior.
