Alumni Update - Josh Staniscia (Washington & Jefferson)

StanisciaJoshWashington & Jefferson sophomore outfielder Josh Staniscia, a Franklin Regional High School graduate, was selected to the Capital One/CoSIDA NCAA Division III Academic All-District First Team in baseball.

Staniscia is one of 12 players named to the District 4 team, which is made up of all NCAA Division III baseball programs in Pennsylvania. He is now automatically nominated for Academic All-America honors along with all other first-team selections from the additional seven regions around the country.

Staniscia owns a 3.59 GPA and has not yet declared a major at W&J.

He is batting .424 and is tied for first on the team with 53 hits, including a team-high 16 for extra bases. Staniscia has scored 38 runs and knocked in 35, while stealing nine bases.
