Fox Chapel boys' basketball team makes an opening statement
Some expect Fox Chapel to be one of the top teams in Class AAAA Section 2 this season, and the Foxes showed why over the weekend.
Fox Chapel (3-0) won the North Hills tournament championship Saturday with a 58-46 victory against host North Hills. That followed a 62-57 win against Baldwin one night earlier.
The Foxes are led by a strong backcourt consisting of junior guards Matt D’Amico and Brian Papich. D’Amico connected on four 3-pointers against Baldwin.
The Foxes, who beat North Hills again on Monday, begin section play Friday at McKeesport.
