Alumni Update - Jen Papich (Gannon)

Gannnon junior forward Jen Papich was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Papich, a Fox Chapel High School gradaute, led Gannon to a PSAC crossover sweep with victories against East Stroudsburg and Kutztown. Papich averaged 20.5 points, shooting at a 50 percent clip from the field (14-of-28) and 92.3 percent from the free throw line (12-of-13).

Papich began the weekend with 17 points, six rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals against Kutztown. Gannon by three points with 15:33 remaining before Papich scored 13 points during the final 14:30.

Papich ended the week with 24 points, five rebounds, and a pair of blocks against East Stroudsburg. She went 7-of-8 from the foul line.

Papich has reached double digits in scoring for four straight games and has scored at least 24 points during two of the last three contests.
