The Deer Lakes battery of senior pitcher Haliey Moretti and junior catcher Hannah Blinn has been one of the most consistent units in the WPIAL over the past two years. The duo both started in these same positions last year. Both are getting it done offensively and defensively for the Lancers.
“They have a nice chemistry together,” Deer Lakes coach Craig Taliani said. “Haliey believes in Hannah’s ability to block whatever she throws out there and Hannah counts on Haliey to make her pitches. They have a nice pitcher/catcher relationship.”
