Alumni Update - Jeff Thompson (Slippery Rock)

Slippery Rock senior defensive end Jeff Thompson was a second-team selection on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Football Team.

Thompson, a graduate of Clairton High School, earned second-team All-PSAC-West honors for the second consecutive season.

He led Slippry Rock in tackles for loss (11 for -65 yards) and quarterback sacks (6.5 for -48 yards). Thompson also recorded five quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery.

Slippery Rock won four of its last five games after a 2-4 start to finish 6-5 and record its their fourth consecutive winning season. Among the 16 PSAC teams, only Slippery Rock and Bloomsburg have active streaks of at least four consecutive winning seasons.
