Clairton star Coles edges cousin for third track title in row

"The cousins crossed the finish line neck and neck. Immediately, Trenton Coles and Vinny Moody turned toward each other and looked puzzled.

Who won?

"I looked at him, he looked at me and we had no idea who won," Coles said. "It was that close."

The two cousins who are close friends, live together and share a bedroom, were so close in the 100-meter dash at the WPIAL championships Thursday that they were separated by .01 second.

And the king reigns.

Coles, a senior at Clairton High School, won the Class AA 100 for the third year in a row with a time of 10.94 seconds. Moody, also a Clairton senior, ran 10.95."
