"The past week has been pretty hectic for Tom Nola, and it's not because the Clairton coach got a late start on his Christmas shopping.

Nola said he's been fielding at least seven or eight phone calls and text messages a day congratulating him on the Bears' third consecutive PIAA Class A championship.

Along with that third title, the Bears also set a WPIAL record by winning 47 games in a row. For that, Nola has been named the Post-Gazette's WPIAL Coach of the Year."
