Canon-McMillan hockey team have two of the top scorers in Class AAA
While some teams have already played as many as six games this season, Canon-McMillan had played just four times through Tuesday.
Yet, two Canon-McMillan players wear near the top of the scoring leaderboard prior to Wednesday’s games.
Carmen Dalesandro was second in the PIHL Class AAA with 15 points (six goals, nine assists). Dalesandro notched a hat trick in the Big Macs’ 8-5 win over Norwin last Thursday, and also had a two-goal, seven-assist game against McDowell on Nov. 8.
The only player ahead of Dalesandro on the scoring leaderboard is Norwin’s Dan Merz, who has 18 points. But Norwin has played six games this season.
Dalesandro’s teammate, James Oddi, was fifth in the classification with 13 points (three goals, 10 assists). His assist total is second in the PIHL Class AAA. Oddi had a three-goal, five-assist game against McDowell and added three assists in the win over Norwin.
