Foul costs Canon-Mac's Johnson a gold medal in triple jump

"When Canon-McMillan's Shawn Johnson took off in his final triple jump attempt at the PIAA Class AAA championships last Friday, those watching immediately knew it was something special.

"The people in the stands were 'oohing and ahhing,'" said Big Macs coach Mike Koot. "It was a monster jump."

Koot estimated that Johnson jumped more than 51 feet, which would have been good enough for first place and a meet record.
