Duo helps Butler hockey team equal last season's win total
The Butler hockey team won just one of its 22 games last season, being outscored 167-39 in the process.
But the Tornadoes have already matched their season win total from last season in two games. After losing to Shaler 6-1 in the opener, Butler rebounded for a 9-1 win over Penn-Trafford on Monday.
The team’s two leading scorers from last season, Tanner Gilliland and Troy Double, have led the way so far. Gilliland leads the team with seven points, all on assists, while Double has a team-best four goals.
Gilliland’s assist total is only two less than his total from last season.
