GeibelJennaSlippery Rock junior third baseman Jenna Geibel, a Butler High School graduate, was named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West team in softball.

The honor is the third All-PSAC-West award of the junior third baseman's career. Geibel is one of just five players in Rock history to earn all-conference honors at least three times.

Geibel was The Rock's offensive leader in 2012.

For the season, she produced team-highs of 37 hits, 15 runs scored, 10 home runs and 22 RBI with a .398 batting average. She ranked fourth in the PSAC in on-base percentage (.491) and fifth in slugging percentage (.753).

Geibel had 10 multi-hit games, eight multi-RBI games and a season-long hitting streak of seven games. Geibel became just the third player in Rock history to hit at least 10 home runs in a season.

Geibel will enter her senior year in pursuit of several SRU career records. She currently ranks second in batting average (.391), third in home runs (26), third in total bases (231) and fourth in RBI (92).

Slippery Rock finished the season with a 16-17 overall record and a PSAC-West mark of 3-11. The Rock will return 16 players from 2012's squad including Geibel.
