"With Brentwood High School's football team assured of a berth in the Class A playoffs, the Spartans boys soccer team has gone one step further, reaching the WPIAL Class A playoffs for the first time in the south suburban school's history.

The Spartans compiled an impressive 13-2 overall record during the regular season, including a 10-2 mark in Section 1-A, finishing as runner-up to perennial powerhouse Greensburg Central Catholic.

In fact, Brentwood's two matches against the Centurions were its only losses during the regular season."
