In three years as a starting pitcher at Brashear, Kaylee Girdwood has never lost a City League game. It is a winning streak she brings up often and takes a great sense of pride in. Girdwood has helped the Bulls to a third consecutive undefeated City League regular season.
“She has good speed,” Brashear softball coach Hank Hogle said of Girdwood. “She hasn’t recorded as many strikeouts this season, moving the mound back has cut down on her strikeouts but she has good location and she keeps the ball low.”
Girdwood went 13-0 in the regular season while maintaining a 0.70 ERA and recording seven shutouts.
