Blackhawk football team ends season with huge offensive juggernaut-type numbers

Written by Sports Town on .

It’s long been said that defense wins championships and the initial round of the WPIAL Class AAA playoffs proved that old saying true again.

Still, offense is entertaining to watch and Blackhawk was one of the season’s most interesting teams, even though its season ended with a 45-21 loss at Mars in the first round.

Preseason injuries cost the Cougars a few weapons but the ones that were left were more than enough. Wide receiver Alex Caratelli caught an amazing 70 passes for an even more impressive 1,211 yards. Cole Chiappialle rushed for 1,504 yards and caught 49 passes for 523 more yards and Chandler Kincade passed for 2,214 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Kincade, already verbally committed to play at Pitt, returns next season while the other two graduate. With Kincade  at the helm, expectations are already high for the Cougars.
