Blackhawk senior leads the way to tennis playoff berth

"Blackhawk's Clint Davies almost made it through an entire boys tennis season without losing a singles match to a Section 2-AA opponent.

Davies, a junior in his third season as a starter for the Cougars, went undefeated in team play at first singles through 11 matches and swept to the section singles championship three weeks ago without losing a set throughout the tournament.

"The section title was something I aspired to since I started at Blackhawk tennis," Davies said. "I made it to the championship match last year but lost, so it's definitely an accomplishment to win it this year.""
