Blackhawk baseball seniors know their chance is now
"They've collectively had success playing American Legion ball and even won a section title last season for the Blackhawk High School varsity team.
Sure, most have a season or two of Legion eligibility left, and many likely will set out together to equal or better the third-place finish in the state Legion tournament Blackhawk posted last season.
But when it comes to officially representing their high school as classmates, the talented senior core of the Cougars varsity baseball team knows this is the season it's been pointing to most.
"Playing with these guys, we've been playing together for the longest time, since Little League," senior shortstop Tyler Craig said. "When you look at the team we have, you sort of have a feel of how good we are and how comfortable we feel with each other."
