Cassidy comes up big in return for Upper St. Clair hockey team

Written by Ryan Riordan on .

USC star sophomore Austin Cassidy separated his shoulder in an amateur game on Nov. 10.

Due to a scheduling quirk, USC didn’t have another game until last Thursday, so Cassidy was able to rehab his shoulder during the break and returned for the Panthers’ game against Canon-McMillan.

And he came up big.
Cassidy twice tied the score with goals in the third period, helping USC tie the Big Macs 4-4 in a Section 1-AAA showdown.

Cassidy now has eight goals and two assists in four games for USC, which is 2-1-1.

Matt Boyd and Sean Allebrand also scored for the Panthers.

Canon-McMillan got two goals from Colman Slain and one goal each from Carmen Dalesandro and Zachary Mansmann.

Canon-McMillan is 6-1-2.
