Alumni Update - Carl Thornton (Indiana University of Pennsylvania)

Indiana University of Pennsylvania senior defensive tackle Carl Thornton was a first-team selection on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Team.

A four-time All-PSAC West honoree, Thornton has 11.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks. He has also blocked two kicks.

IUP leads NCAA Division II with 11.2 points and 242.7 total yards allowed a game.

IUP is 10-1 and won its first PSAC championship game win since 1987 with a 41-10 victory over Shippensburg last Saturday. IUP is the the No. 3 seed in Super Region One of the NCAA Division II playoffs.

IUP hosts Shepherd in a first-round game on Saturday.
