George makes return to Beaver County for Penn-Ohio Football Classic
Trevor George played the first two years of his high school career as a Hopewell quarterback but each ended early because of a knee injury. He’s back in familiar territory this week as he practices at Blackhawk High School for the 33rd annual Penn-Ohio All-Star Football Classic.
George played his senior year at Carlynton High School as the family moved after his dad, Terry, became the head coach at Carlynton. The younger George passed for 1154 yards and 11 touchdowns as a Cougar.
“I was blessed to have the opportunity to play for my dad,” Trevor said. “Now, I’m playing in the Penn-Ohio game and I’ve been around this since I was little. My knee is now the best it’s ever been and this is a ton of fun and a great experience.”
George will alternate at quarterback with West Allegheny’s Dylan Bongiorni. The game will be played Friday at Springfield Local High School.
