Semifinal loss tough to deal with for Bucs softball seniors

Nicholas Tolomeo has the details on the Chartiers Houston softball team as its season ends:

"Their high school careers ended with a loss, the sting of coming one game shy of reaching the state championship game, but the last four years of Chartiers-Houston High School softball will be remembered mostly for the victories.

There were 83 of them, 20 were in the postseason, two were in a WPIAL final and one was in a PIAA final.

"They have had a great career over these last four years," an emotional coach Tricia Alderson said of her seniors. "Their record has to be one of the best if not the best of any class here and there have been some pretty successful classes come through our program.""
