Boys' Basketball: North Weekly Watch
Here are three games to keep an eye on this week.
Tuesday – Mars at Hampton (Non-section) – These two former section rivals are ranked No. 2 in their respective classes (Hampton in Class AAAA and Mars in Class AAA). Hampton won the Penn-Trafford tournament championship this past weekend, while Mars won the title at the Scott Lang Memorial Tournament, which the Planets hosted.
Tuesday – Mt. Lebanon at North Allegheny (Non-section) – A solid final tune-up for section action for these two teams. Guard play will take center stage, with Mt. Lebanon featuring Tyler Roth and North Allegheny being led by Adam Haus.
Friday – Fox Chapel at McKeesport (Class AAAA Section 2) – Two playoff hopefuls hope to begin section play on a positive note. Fox Chapel, led by guard Matt D’Amico and Brian Papich, started the season by winning the championship of the North Hills tournament.
