Quaker Valley, Mars enter PIAA boys' soccer tournament
WPIAL Class AA champion Quaker Valley and runner-up Mars both enter the PIAA playoffs with the look of making a run at a state championship.
Quaker Valley and Mars are both 18-3-1. Both teams won their section title and both advanced to the WPIAL finals where the Quakers edged the Planets 2-1 last Saturday.
Quaker Valley opens the PIAA playoffs tonight against District 10 runner-up General McLane at 8 at North Allegheny while Mars is in action at Northern Bedford High School at 7 p.m. against District 5 champion Bedford.
Quaker Valley and Mars could meet again in the PIAA semifinals.
