North Allegheny track the only Class AAA North team going coed today
WPIAL track team semifinals are today at 3pm. This means we finally get an idea of how to answer the age-old question: just what went on in all those section meets?
The North Allegheny boys’ and girls’ teams will both travel to Gateway today. The Tigers have had recent sweeps against Pine-Richland and North Hills. The North Allegheny boys’ team also defeated Shaler and Fox Chapel, but the Foxes boys’ team will be attending the semifinals today as Section 3-AAA’s runner up.
Shaler, one of the only girls’ teams to have defeated North Allegheny this season, will be competing today at West Mifflin. On the same bracket is Mars, who will be competing out of the Kiski-dominated Section 4-AAA.
One more North team to mention: the Knoch boys’ team will join the North Allegheny boys at Gateway today.
