With the season officially over for all of the East Sports Town teams, let’s take a final look at which players shined the brightest this season.

Offensively, four players stood out above the rest, as all of them finished high in the major categories in the final regular-season statistics for the East area.

The quartet consisted of the following:

Valley senior Zarley Zalewski - .574 average, eight home runs, 36 RBIs
Central Catholic junior M.P. Buckley – eight home runs, 40 RBIs
Norwin sophomore J.J. Matijevic - .500 average, six home runs, 35 RBIs
Hempfield sophomore Joey DeFloria - .500 average, five home runs, 27 RBIs

Moving to the mound,  the following trio of hurlers made their way to the top:

Norwin senior Nick Kolat – 8-0 record
Plum senior Anthony Garofalo – 6-0 record
Riverview junior Anthony Malky – 6-2 record, 85 strikeouts
