Important 2012 dates remaining for the City League
Baseball’s PIAA regionals begin May 30. This means that today’s City Champion will play against the 1-seed from District X (as Districts VIII and X form a “region” in the PIAA baseball tournament).
Softball’s PIAA regionals begin May 31. Likewise, City Champion Brashear will play the 1-seed from District X.
In Boys’ Tennis, Allderdice’s Jesse Irwin is taking on State College’s Blake Gregory in the first round of the PIAA Class-AAA singles tournament. This match is at noon tomorrow (May 25).
Boys’ volleyball – Obama is the 2012 City Champion. The PIAA tournament begins May 29. District VIII can send teams to play in both Class AA and Class AAA.
