Big events for City track teams: Jaguar Invite, Relays, Baldwin, and Championships
Let’s look back about a week. On Saturday, the Allderdice track team participated in the Thomas Jefferson (Jaguar) Invitational. The Dragons’ Ean DiSilvio won the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:04.65. William Graham won the high jump event, recording a height of 6-0.
The track season got even more interesting for City teams this past Monday. The City League Relays got underway. The City League relays are a series of relay and field events that went through yesterday afternoon. The Monday meet included a 300 meter hurdle relay, a 4x100-, a 440-meter shuttle hurdle relay, a 4x200-, a 4x400-, a 4x800-, and a 4x1, 000-meter relay. For the boys, the meet ended with the following team scores/standings:
1. Allderdice 72.2
2. Brashear 54
3. Obama Academy 42
4. Carrick 17
5. Oliver and Westinghouse were tied at 8
Girls:
1. Brashear 64
2. Obama Academy 40.3
3. Allderdice 32
4. Carrick and Langley were tied at 14
Tuesday’s events included a 4-mile relay, shot put, long jump, discus, triple jump, and high jump. At the end of Tuesday, the boys’ team leaders were as follows:
1. Allderdice 126
2. Brashear 102
3. Obama Academy 54
Girls:
1. Brashear 102
2. Allderdice 62
3. Obama Academy 54
City League track and field championships are ongoing. An update will be posted as information becomes available.
Lastly, it should be noted that City teams will be participating in the 39th Annual Baldwin invitational this weekend. The teams registered (according to Penn Track XC) are:

Westinghouse
Perry
