When four-year letter winner Kayla Haslett graduated last season and took her softball talent to Youngstown State University, Ambridge coach Jim Huwar was happy to welcome another Haslett, freshman Kelly Haslett. Like her older sister, Kelly can pitch but this season Huwar used her at first base.
In Ambridge’s 9-0 first-round win over Ellwood City, Haslett knocked in five of the Bridgers’ nine runs on 3 of 4 hitting including a pair of doubles. During the regular season Kelly Haslett hit over .300.
