Allderdice boys tennis team continues dominance in City League
"The Allderdice boys tennis team made its final season in the City League one of its finest.
The Dragons not only swept the league's team, singles and doubles championships -- something they have been wont to do with regularity for quite some time -- they did so by taking all four semifinal spots in both the singles and doubles tournaments.
"This has probably been our best season to date," Allderdice coach Keith Goldman said, "just due to the fact that we usually do well in the City singles and doubles tournaments, but usually we'll have three of the four semifinalists. We had all four semifinalists for singles and all four for doubles, and that's the first time I can remember that to date -- with any coach.
"So this is one of my proudest seasons ... and there's been quite a few good seasons.""
