Pittsburgh Pro-Am summer basketball league feature local players
The Pittsburgh Basketball Club Pro-Am League in Greentree has become very popular in recent summers. The league, run by the PBC director John Giammarco, features most of the area’s Division I talent (players from Pitt, Duquesne, West Virginia and Robert Morris included), as well as former college players and a multitude of Sports Town area products.
When the league played its first games Monday night, among the participating players were Nick Novak (Pitt-Johnstown/Franklin Regional), C.J. Hester (West Liberty/West Mifflin), Mike Lamberti (West Liberty/South Fayette) and T.J. Heatherington (Point Park/Serra Catholic). Also playing were former college players Lance Jeter (Nebraska/Beaver Falls) and Kyle Goldcamp (Gannon/Central Catholic).
The league, which is in its 7th season, plays its games at the Greentree Sportsplex on Monday and Wednesday nights.
