Track and Field: Individual and Team Championships 2012 Overview
This week and next are like a stack of important WPIAL Track and Field dates. Here’s a rundown.
Individual Qualifiers were yesterday, May 8. For Class AAA Boys’ and Girls’ Track, they were held at Butler (Northern), West Mifflin (Southern), and Norwin (Central). For Class AA Boys’ and Girls’ Track, there were only two sites: Mars (Northern) and South Side Beaver (Southern).
Team Championships are tomorrow, May 10. All four meets will be conducted at Baldwin at 4pm. Below, you'll find a listing of teams who will compete for the WPIAL Championships.
Class AAA girls’ - Hempfield, Bethel Park, Norwin, and Shaler
Class AAA boys’- Hempfield, North Allegheny, Mt. Lebanon, and West Mifflin
Class AA girls’- Riverside, Mt. Pleasant, Freeport, and Mohawk
Class AA boys’- Riverside, Riverview, Washington, and Quaker Valley
