Pitt defensive end/linebacker Brandon Lindsey will play in the 87th East-West Shrine Game on Saturday at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The 6-foot-2, 250-pound Lindsey, a graduate of Aliquippa High School, finished his career with 22.5 sacks to rank ninth all-time at Pitt. The past All-Big East honoree finished his senior season with 54 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception.
Eighty-nine former Panthers have played in the East-West Shrine Game since 1925. including Mike Ditka (Aliquippa), Lousaka Polite (Woodland Hills) and Rod Rutherford (Perry).
