Baseball: Hampton's Bischke picks Kent State

Kent State picked up a commitment from a WPIAL baseball player Sunday.

A day later, the Golden Flashes struck again.

Hampton rising junior Tyler Bischke took to Twitter on Monday to announce he will be taking his talents to Kent State upon graduating in 2019.

"I'm very excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Kent State University!" -- @tyler_bischke

Bischke, an infielder, was a starter his sophomore season for Hampton, which went 13-7 and reached the WPIAL Class 5A playoffs.

Bischke became the second WPIAL player to commit to Kent State in as many days. Pine-Richland junior Josh Johnson announced his intentions Sunday. The two are teammates on the Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs travel team.
