Greensburg Central Catholic entered Monday’s game having lost its past 25 games.

But thanks to two goals each from Nicholas D’Onofrio and Nicholas Benjamin, four assists from Adam Frank and 19 saves by Patrick Teich, GCC’s losing streak is no more.

The Centurions beat Connellsville, 7-0, for their first win since a 6-3 victory against Bishop McCort on Feb. 22, 2012.

Greensburg Central Catholic lost its final two games of the 2012 season, and then went 0-22 last season. Prior to this season, the Centurions dropped from Class A to the Open Class. They lost their first game to Carrick, 8-2, on Oct. 31 before Monday night’s win.
