Buck reaches 1,000-point plateau for Elizabeth Forward girls' basketball team

Elizabeth Forward senior Dana Buck scored her 1,000th career point last Thursday in leading the Warriors to a 65-14 win against Waynesburg in Class AAA Section 4.

Buck, a 6-foot forward, had 17 points in the game to give her 1,002 for her career.

Buck has played a big role in the Warriors’ 14-1 start (6-0 in the section) and No. 5 ranking in Class AAA. In addition to her offense, Buck has been a key contributor to a stingy defense (32.1 points per game) that ranks as one of the best in Class AAA.

The Warriors, coached by Sam Kosanovich, have won 11 straight games.
