Mason also competes in track and field for the Raiders.

Quotes from Coach Shawn Urbano: Mason has improved her overall game this season because she had to. She had never played point guard before, and because of an injury to our starting point guard five games into the season, Mason became our point guard. She has the ball in her hands the majority of the time, and she has been a differnce-maker in our transition game. We are scoring a lot of points in transtion because Mason is either finding an open player or taking it to the basket herself. Last year, she was receiving a lot of passes and scoring. But because she's been so versatile, her ball-handling skills have really improved. Mason has also been a big factor in our rebounding game. She is averaging about 7 rebounds a game, and that's really good for a 5-4 guard. What helps is that Mason can really jump. She's also averaging 3 blocks per game. She's become a better captain this year beause she leads vocally and by example. She faces box-and-one and diamond-and-one defenses nearly every night, and she's still averging more than 16 points a game.
