Football: Brashear grad makes Bills active roster

Written by Brad Everett on .

Brashear graduate Manasseh Garner has bounced around to a handful of NFL teams since graduating from Pitt, but Garner has never played in a regular-season game.

That could change Sunday.

Garner, a member of the Buffalo Bills practice squad the last few weeks, was promoted to the team's active roster today. He is listed as a tight end, but is expected to see time at fullback when the Bills play at Miami on Sunday.

A 2009 Brashear graduate, Garner has spent time with Kansas City, Cleveland and Denver, but never played in anything above a preseason game.

Garner isn't the only Brashear graduate on an NFL active roster. Former classmate John Wetzel made his first career start Monday night with Arizona. Wetzel is an offensive guard.
