The Saint Vincent College basketball team has been the measuring stick of success, winning the Presidents’ Athletic Conference championship five out of the last six years. On April 1, they made their next step to continuing their legacy, and that’s no April Fools’ Day joke.
Bishop Canevin’s Walter Bonds announced via Twitter that he will be continuing his basketball career as a member of the Bearcats on Saturday.
Bonds -- half of the dynamic twin duo with the Crusaders -- will go from one successful program to another.
In his senior year, the 5-foot-10 guard led Bishop Canevin to a 22-6 record and a Class 2A Section 3 regular season championship. Bonds helped the Crusaders advance to the WPIAL and PIAA semifinals this past year.
